Nov 9 – Which Upper Noe Flag Football Team Is Citywide Champ?
1 pm in Kezar Stadium
Congratulations to both of our Upper Noe Flag Football teams. Upper Noe West and Upper Noe East have been devastating all season. Now these top two teams play each other for the championship. They meet this Saturday in the citywide flag football championship at Kezar Stadium. Strong QBs, incredible speed and imposing defensive threats make these teams exciting to watch. This event is free and open to the public.
Nov 9 – Upper Noe Gardening Work Party
Any and all volunteers are welcome to pitch in this Saturday, Nov 9 from 9 a.m. to noon. Help beautify the Upper Noe Rec Center gardens and grounds. We will be following up on the amazing job that the volunteer crew did in September. They cleared the ornamental garden beds on Sanchez Street to prepare them for new plantings. Bring the whole family. Come when you can. Work for as long as you like. Tools are provided. Hats and gloves recommended. Check in at the office if you don’t see where the work is happening.
Nov 16 – SFYBL Registration Begins
San Francisco Youth Baseball League (SFYBL) individual registration begins on Saturday, November 17 at 10 a.m. The league, a collaboration between Rec and Park and the San Francisco Fire Department’s Flame Program, serves boys and girls ages 4 to 14 in six age-based divisions with the season beginning in March of 2020. Nov 18 – SFMTA J Church Improvement Project Open House
5:30-7:30 p.m. at Upper Noe Rec Center.
Attendees will be able to view project information stations hosted by project staff and provide feedback on proposed improvements for the J Church.
Nov 28 & 29 – UN Rec Center building closed for Thanksgiving. The park will be open. No classes.
Dec 3 – Tree Lighting
90th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting at McLaren Lodge (501 Stanyan Street) in Golden Gate Park on Tuesday, December 3, from 4-8 p.m. This FREE family-friendly event will feature toboggan rides, snow play area, carnival rides, live entertainment, cookie decorating, visits with Santa and more!
Dec 14 – Winter Registration begins at 10 a.m.
