The new Upper Noe Gardening Group met twice in late January to survey the park’s gardens and plan work days. They look forward to preparing the grounds for spring and taking part in the Noe Valley Garden Tour. Meetings are on Saturday mornings. Want to help? Park staff asks that parents monitor sandbox use and ensure that sand is not carried and dumped in other parts of the playground. The sand is becoming depleted from the box as it is dispersed across the new turf surface. Unlike the previous rubber surface that allowed for the sand to be easily blown back into the box, the turf is more challenging to maintain.
