FREE FAMILY FUN

paddington2photo-sm 2Movie Night in the Park – September 22

Come on out for a free fun-filled outdoor movie night on the Upper Noe field. Paddington 2 is the feature film.

This event is sponsored by Sutter Health-CPMC 2020 in partnership with the Friends of the Noe Valley Recreation Center.

Movie time will be 7 p.m. or dusk, whichever comes first, but neighbors are welcome to show up as early as 6:00 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to picnic in the park. The first 250 attendees will receive a special goodie bag (one per family).

So that everyone will enjoy the show, please do not bring lawn chairs that would obstruct views. And please remember, for safety glass containers and alcohol are not permitted in the park.

Concerts in the Park Series Returns – September 29

Upper Noe playground goers will once again be serenaded on Saturdays mornings by local musicians and songwriters. The Concerts in the Park series is gearing up for monthly or bi-monthly performances.

The emphasis is on whole-family friendly entertainment. The goal is to present music that adults will enjoy while watching their children play and that will captivate children, too.

On Saturday, September 29, we present  heartJust Suzanne in the playground from 10:30 – noon. Come hear this talented singer/songwriter and her sultry vocal styling.

Thanks are due to all of the participants, entertainers, volunteers, community organizations, sponsors, public servants and Rec & Park staff that made our ten-year anniversary celebration fabulous.

Hats off to Upper Noe Facility Coordinator Cheryl Woltjen, seen here at Ten Together receiving a commendation from Rec & Park General Mgr. Phil Ginsburg for her excellent service to our community. Cheryl has been with Rec & Park for 20 years and at Upper Noe for 7. Thank you Cheryl.
