FREE FAMILY FUN

Concerts in the Park  –

Every Saturday Morning in October 10:30 to noon

Concerts-in-the-Park

This

free live music series returns to the Upper Noe playground on Saturday October

6 with an amazing line-up of talent.

10/06  –  ♡ just Suzanne
10/13  –  ♡ just Suzanne hosts Matt Jaffe
10/20  –  ♡ just Suzanne hosts Donovan Plant
10/27  –  ♡ just Suzanne hosts Delphi Freeman

Performances will be every 3rd Saturday each month starting in

November:

November

17th – Essence Goldman

December

15th – Audio Blonde

This series

has been on a lengthy hiatus but, always there was the thought of

resuming. It just needed the right person to organize it. That person

turned out to be Suzanne Kramer, a singer/songwriter who performs

regularly in the Bay Area and beyond who is also a close neighbor to the

Rec Center.

Suzanne

performs as ♡ just Suzanne  (www.just-Suzanne.com) and will

begin the series on Saturday, October 6. She describes herself as indie

pop with a jazz infusion. She recently headlined at Bird & Becket.

Suzanne will start the show each Saturday and then introduce the guest

act.

Concerts

take place in the children's playground with performers positioned

near the sandbox. Acts are not child-centric but are selected to be

sophisticated family-friendly music that adults and children will enjoy.

Do not expect to hear "Wheels on the bus go round and round". Do

expect to be entertained by upbeat, quality performances that will

brighten your day.

Jose

Coronado Indoor Soccer League Registration – October 8

Registration begins this Monday, October 8 at 10

a.m. The rules are similar to traditional futsal and the league serves as

a great opportunity to develop each child's/team's fundamental

skills leading up to the spring outdoor season and nurture a lifelong love

of soccer!

For more information, go to  http://sfrecpark.org/recprogram/indoor-soccer-

program/

WarriorsJr. Warriors Registration – October 11

Registration opens on Thursday, October 11 at 10

Thursday, January 10. Participants will learn to harness their inner Steph

Curry and develop their game to hoop just like the hometown championship

team!

Ladybug GardenersLadybug Gardeners – October 13

Volunteers, get your hat and gloves and your gardening game on

every second Saturday of the

month from 9 am to noon. Joan Lionberger invites amateur gardeners of all ages

and genders to come out for some fresh air and help beautify our park.

Tools are provided but feel free to bring your own. Extras are always

handy to have around.

Check in at the office if you do not see the group

at work on the Upper Noe grounds. This month, we will be beautifying the

Sanchez Street side of the park.

Upper Noe

NeighborsUpper

Noe Neighbors Community Meeting – October 17

District

8 Supervisor Rafael Mandelman and Ingleside Station Captain Jack Hart join

citizens be proactive and promote their own vision for our neighborhood?

How can the city help us improve street safety and walkability?

With the election just just right around the corner, we

will hear the pros and cons of Proposition 10 (rent control) and

Proposition C (tax for homeless services).

Come and bring a friend. Refreshments will be

served.

 Wednesday, October 17  from 7 – 8:30

pm
