Keeping It From Fall-ing Apart

Do you ever wonder if your calls to report maintenance are effective? They are, though it might take awhile. We are none-the-lest grateful to Rec & Park workers who do the myriad tasks necessary to stave off a park-closing major renovation. They recently installed silver bars (above, center) at mid-height on the fence around the field to repair sections that have been severely bowed-out from being used as soccer goals or from folks resting against them. Looks fresh again.

Gardeners are always doing their part, too. Currently, they are attempting to repair the garden at the main 30th Street entrance (above, left) that is so popular with small children at play. Please lend a hand and keep kids out so the new plants can get established and make it beautiful again.

Fall Session is in process until December 7. Teen Volleyball Open Gym for girls 13 – 17 on Fridays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and is has plenty of room for more players and is free. See what else is still available and sign up for classes now at https://sfrecpark.org/ . To find out more about drop-in activities and free classes, visit www.uppernoerecreationcenter.com .
